Our puppy and dog training classes are run in our purpose built dog training centre and we have 3 secure paddocks for outside training.  Yvonne and Mary are pleased to offer the courses listed below:

We now have monthlys visit by Camilla Tricker, Level 7 PgDip Veterinary Physiotherapy graduate from University of Nottingham, as well as a Level 3 Cert Canine Hydrotherapist who specialises in providing tailored rehabilitation services for both small and large animals. With a focus on health, mobility, performance enhancement and injury prevention, she is  dedicated to helping your companions live their happiest, healthiest lives.  Click here to find out more...

Puppy Skills for Life

Puppies should to be under 6 months at the start of the course.  Teaches you how to recognise and develop the skills your puppy will need to live happily and confidently in our human world, with all the variety life throws at us. ​​​​

Progressing Skills for Life

For any dog that has completed the Puppy Skills for Life class.  Helping you to recognise the  concepts required for your dog to  deal with real-life scenarios.

Perfecting Skills for Life

For any dog that has completed the Progressing Skills for Life class. This course builds on your skill at recognising the concepts and skills your dog needs to develop so that together you can turn any struggles into a strength.  ​You will learn and apply a range of games to real-life situations. ​

Giving a Hand

The NEW Saturday Club

The new Saturday Club starts Saturday 25 April and will run until 26 September.  Classes are held on Saturday morning and there will be a variety of trainers each week. There will be a maximum of 6 dogs per class.

There will be three sessions to choose from: 9am, 10.15am and 11.30am.  Each session is £15 or you can block book saving you money.

 

​​This is a mixed content/ability class. 

This class is open to those that have completed the Perfecting Skills for Life class or who have been assessed prior to joining. This is a fun course for those who have done the basics and want to progress further.  ​​

Practical Canine First Aid Course with The Paw-works

This course is suitable for pet owners, pet professionals and breeders. We cover assessing your casualty, CPR, Vital signs, Burns & scalds, poisoning, bleeding, shock, heatstroke, bites & stings, choking & drowning, seizures, head & eye injuries and so much more. 

This course is from 10am to 3pm and costs £59.50 per person.  ​​​​​

Veterinary Physio Sessions with Camilla Tickner

We specialize in providing tailored rehabilitation services for both small and large animals. With a focus on health, mobility, performance enhancement and injury prevention, we are dedicated to helping your companions live their happiest, healthiest lives.

Camilla will be at the Centre on a Thursday starting 5 March 2026. This will be monthly.

​An initial session lasts approx. 1 hour and follow up sessions last approximately 45 minutes. The cost of ALL sessions is £45 (which reflects a reduction for your initial session). If you would like Camilla to work with your dog (we use her for maintenance not just to fix issues) you will need a Veterinary referral - send the attached form to your vet for them to complete and forward to Camilla - then message us and we'll schedule a time for your appointment.

Obedience Workshops with Linda Hughes from All Action Dog

Linda will be running 3 x 2 hour workshops at Progressing Partnerships, on the first Tuesday of every month, starting 7 April 2026. Each 2 hour workshop is £40 per handler.  The workshops willl run at 10:00, 12:30 and 14:45 respectively.

 

There is easy parking for your and your dog and a maximum of 6 handlers per session.

Rally-O Classes

(April to September)

This class is open to those who have completed the Perfecting Skills for Life class or who have been assessed prior to joining.  There will be an introductory session preceding the course and you can join at anytime.

 

Based on Talking Dogs Rally®,  this course is designed specifically for dogs and their owners with an emphasis on fun, welfare and support. It is a wonderfully non-competitive sport where each handler navigates a course which has numbered signs. All exercises are based on the practical skills that help dogs to behave well.

Gun Dog & Games

(April to September)

This class is open to any dog that has completed the Perfecting Skills for Life class. 

 

Gundog training is becoming increasingly popular and enables you to enhance your partnership by allowing your dog to use his natural skills to spice up your walks.

Let's Talk Complementary Therapies with Dawn Waterhouse FCCA LCH RMANM RSHom

Dawn Waterhouse FCCA LCH RMANM RSHom is a Homeopath and Naturpath who has been running her own clinic for over 25 years. She has owned dogs all her life and treats them naturally herself. Dawn also receives veterinary referrals to treat dogs naturally.

 

In her workshop, Dawn will discuss the Use of Homeopathy in Dogs and explore how to use remedies to treat a wide range of health issues including First Aid, Fears and Phobias, Travel Sickness, Whelping, Allergies, Joint Health, Ear Infections, Tummy upsets and more.

Saturday 4 October 2025 from 11am to 3pm - Cost £40.

Scentwork Workshops with Sally Talbot

At Progessing Partnerships we have organised a series of Scentwork Workshops with Sally Talbot, Elite Scentwork Trainer from Happy Hounds Adventures.  

Scentwork Workshops are for  two hours and from 11:30 - 13:30. Maximum 4 dogs.  Cost £65 per handler.
